My jazz band meets once a week for 30 minutes, and I am always looking for tunes that are:

A) Attainable with that amount of time

B) Have parts for ALL band instruments

C) Sound musical and are fun to play

Party Time is a driving rock style tune that meets all of these criteria! Your students will love this introduction to the Jazz style. This work includes several teachable moments, with a base melody that is passed around the brass, woodwinds, and lows. These sections can be taught in unison to keep all students engaged during the rehearsal process.
