This sheet covers many of the basic rhythms students will need to have in their vocabulary in order for them to be successful long term. It also has flames and skeletons, because middle schoolers are simple creatures!

Ways to use this resource:

Count/play each measure 4 times in a row, continuing to the next line without stopping.
Isolate 1 measure and master it, then loop it before adding it to the sequence
Have students write in the counting for an assessment
Use it help with beginning understanding of cut time
