Band Announcements -Week of March 23

Great job by the Jazz Bands at Saturday’s Spring Swing Dance!

Saturday, March 28th Blue Note Jazz Band will perform at the Tower Plaza from 5:15-6:00.

Leadership information is posted in the Band Hallway.

There will be an informational meeting for all those wishing to participate in the Woodwind Choir. Instruments must be provided by students –unfortunately, we don’t have extras to check out to students. Details TBA

The Drumline will perform at the Cornhusker hotel on April 15th for a business luncheon. More details coming soon.

The Recycling Fundraiser is just around the corner (March 28) and we need some volunteers! Are you artistic and want to make some signs for the students to hold? Can you help for the event? Do you want to drop off some treats for the Volunteers? All kinds of volunteers are needed, and not just on that date!

Marcus Theatre Ticket Sales

Marcus Theatre Tickets make excellent gifts for any occasion. With the holiday season gearing up, why not have a stockpile of certificates on hand!  There are specific gift packages available including gift cards.  The band receives 15% of sales and for every two tickets you purchase, you receive a $3 voucher for concessions. The Band Program
Students at Lincoln East are very fortunate to have a wide variety of quality music ensemble opportunities. Below is a brief summary of each group and its role in the East Band Program. These ensembles can be subdivided into two major groups: Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular.

Co-curricular ensembles meet during the school day and you must be enrolled through Lincoln East to participate. You receive a grade for these ensembles and therefore must adhere to the grading requirements set forth by each class.

Extra-Curricular ensembles are not classes. They typically meet outside the school day and in no way are required to be in Band at East. They are meant to be extra opportunities that are open to East Band students.
