Director of Bands - Mr. Tom Thorpe |
 Prior to coming to Lincoln East, Mr. Thorpe spent the past seven years as
the Director of Instrumental Music at Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia,
Missouri. While in Sedalia he taught the Marching, Symphonic, and Jazz
Bands, in addition to Orchestra, Music Theory, and assisting with the middle
school program.
At East, Mr. Thorpe will teach Guitar I, Music Theory,
Freshman Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and the Blue Note Jazz
Band, as well as assist with Marching Band and Wind Ensemble. Mr. Thorpe
holds a Master’s Degree from UNL and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University
of Arkansas. Mr. Thorpe's wife, Amy, teaches Band and Choir at Lincoln
Northeast High School. They have two boys, Tommy 5 and Myles 2. |

Mr. Del Whitman
|
 Mr. Whitman is the Chair of the Lincoln East Music Department,
orchestra director and assists with the marching band. Mr. Whitman has
taught at Lincoln East for 20 years.
