At the Band Booster meeting on November 5th, John Seacrest, a 1979 East High Graduate and his wife, Karen, presented the East High Band Boosters with a check for $10,000.00 and requested that this gift be used to purchase the remaining drumline equipment on our wish list in the hopes that it will be a gift that will serve a number of students for many years to come.

This generous donor is a perfect example of someone who appreciates the joy of music and understands
its value as part of a young person's education. Music touches us all in different ways. Our kids are learning
that music, when played from the heart, can be a life transforming, meaningful, wonderful experience.  We are so thankful that music has inspired John to honor us with such a wonderful gift.
On behalf of all of the East High Band Boosters, Families and Students  - may I express my very deepest thanks and appreciation for this extraordinary and generous gift!

Most Sincerely,
Mary Beth Shomos, President
East High Band Boosters

Recycling was a HUGE success.  Thanks go the many, many kids and adults who helped.  See more photos.

Save your old Christmas lights and other electronics for the repeat of this fabulous event on April 10, 2010!
